This Bunnahabhain was bottled exclusively for Whisky.de. It belongs to Signatory's Un-Chillfiltered range, in which the whiskies are not chill-filtered. So that it does not become cloudy, it was bottled with a strong 46%. This makes the Single Malts particularly intense in the Taste. After its hogshead maturation, Bunnahabhain received a 7-month finish in an oloroso sherry cask.

Bunnahabhain means 'river mouth' translated from Gaelic. The distillery is the northernmost on the island of Islay and is located about three kilometres from Port Askaig. It was built by the Greenless Brothers in 1881.
