This Blair Athol was released by Hunter Laing in the Old Malt Cask Series. In the series, the independent bottler from Glasgow brings long-matured Single Malts from renowned distilleries from Speyside, Islay, the Lowlands or the islands to the market. All creations are bottled non-chill-filtered with exactly 50% alcohol by volume to preserve the character of the respective whisky.

The Blair Athol distillery is located in Pitlochry on the road from Perth to Inverness. It was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson under the name "Aldour". Today it belongs to Diageo.
