Beschrijving van het product
The Appleton Estate Reserve Rum was produced to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the distillery and contains selected Pot Still reserves from their renowned stock. The maturation period of at least eight years, the climate of Jamaica and the limestone-filtered water used in the production of this rum give it its multi-layered character.
Appleton Estate was founded in 1749 in the Nassau Valley and is thus the oldest distillery on the island. The distillery includes sugar cane plantations as well as its own spring and yeast breeding. The rum is traditionally produced here in the elaborate Pot Still process with ingredients from the estate's own production.

Aroma:
weniger Süße, sondern eher Würzigkeit, eher trocken
Geschmack:
kein süßer Rum, es kommt eher das Fass als die Melasse durch, Orangennoten, Würzigkeit, Früchte eher dezent.
Abgang:
Nicht aufdringlich, mittellang, etwas Vanielle, etwas Würzigkeit, etwas Orange.
Kommentar:
Für mich ein mittelmäßiger Rum, ich hätte mehr Geschmack/Vollmundigkeit erwartet, er hält sich eher zurück.
