Aultmore 100 Proof Exceptional Cask Edition #5 17 Jaar 2007/2024

This Aultmore was released by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. Andrew Symington founded his company at the end of the 1980s and has always maintained a good relationship with the distilleries. This bottling is part of the Signatory 100 Proof Edition, which are no longer just high-proof, uncoloured whiskies, but affordable bottlings that have been matured for a long time. They are characterised by first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, but it is a single malt that was long considered an outsider due to the strong demand for blends. After 17 years in the cask, it skilfully combines spicy and herbal notes with the nutty sweetness of the sherry casks.
