The Turntable x Starward Collaboration Drop 01 is a blended whisky created in collaboration between Turntable Blending House and the Australian Starward distillery. For this bottling, the master blenders used Starward Single Malt matured in red wine casks, smoky Caol Ila Single Malt, Grain Whisky from the North British Distillery and a portion of Inchgower Single Malt. First fill Bourbon barrels and Virgin Oak barrels were used to mature the Scottish components. The result is a smoky, maritime and sweet-nutty blended whisky that combines first-class blending craftsmanship from Scotland with advanced distilling skills from Australia. The design of the bottle features lettering that glows in the dark.

Aroma: Tolle frische, wuchtige Fruchnoten (Brombeeren, Hagebutten), salzige Seeluft, Seetang, dezente Torfnote (Stärke: Lagefeuer, maximall 12 bis 15 PPM) und Rotweintannine.
Geschmack: Delikat, aufbrausend und rauchig: Viel Obst, verschiedene Kräuter, bitteres Karamell.
Abgang: Mittel. Eigene dominante Süße und fruchtige Torfigkeit, die in eine herbe Nussnote übergeht.
Kommentar: Eine eigene Kreation von Blending House, aber dennoch gelungen! Zwar nicht so gut wie z. B. "Bittersweet Symphony", dafür fast im gleichem Preissegment. Tolles Design der Umverpackung, alle zugeführten Whiskies hinten drauf vermerkt, Preis/Leistung-Verähltnis gut getroffen.
