Product description
The 9-year-old Tullibardine was matured in a first fill ruby port wine cask and is part of the 'The Old Friends' series by Michel Reick, the whisky specialist of a German importer. Barolo red wine is a world-famous, dry, heavy and decidedly fruity red wine. The independent bottler Michel Reick is known in the whisky scene for his whisky creations Best Dram, Scotch Universe, and Whisky Druid, all of which he has marketed and established as independent bottlers. The whiskies in The Old Friends range are matured in particularly high-quality, sometimes rare boutique casks that have been carefully selected from top coopers, wineries and bodegas. Bottled without colour, without chill filtration and at cask strength.

The Distillery: Tullibardine
Tullibardine is actually not the oldest Scottish Distillery but regarding the first step of the Whisky production it is one of the Methuselahs of the business: The visit of King James 4th of Scotland of the local brewery situated here before is known as the first recorded purchase of Beer. That was in 1488, long before in 1949 the first spirit was distilled here at Tullibardine in Perthshire.
