Aroma Notes of vanilla, caramel, creamy lemonade, sweet nectar and oak intertwine with layers of dried fruit and warming spices.
Taste Balanced with spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon and candied ginger, accompanied by a hint of brown sugar.
Finish Soft and buttery. The flavour slowly fades.

Product description
The 18-year-old Tullibardine matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon and sherry casks and, after the 15-year-old, is the latest addition to the Highland distillery's standard range. Illustrations by Scottish artist Bryan Angus adorn the outer packaging of the Tullibardine 18 year old and depict scenes and features of the distillery itself, making it a lovely gift.

Tullibardine is actually not the oldest Scottish Distillery but regarding the first step of the Whisky production it is one of the Methuselahs of the business: The visit of King James 4th of Scotland of the local brewery situated here before is known as the first recorded purchase of Beer. That was in 1488, long before in 1949 the first spirit was distilled here at Tullibardine in Perthshire. read more

Aroma: Fruit Herbs Caramel Helle Früchte und frische Kräuter. Aber auch süßes Karamell und Anklänge von Gewürzen.

Geschmack: Sweet Spices Sherry Oak Süß, aber mit kräftig-prickelnden Gewürzen. Auch Sherry kommt nun durch und man kann Eichenwürze erahnen.

Abgang: Honey Cinnamon Ginger Nutmeg Sherry Dark Chocolate Oak Honigsüß und dann kommt eine Gewürzflut vom Zimt, Muskat und Ingwer. Wieder deutlich Sherry, dunkle Schokolade und Eiche.

Kommentar: wie bei anderen Tullibardines (die ich probieren konnte) auch wieder sehr würzig. Insgesamt eine gelunge Mischung. Vermutlich nicht der spannendste 18er, den ich bisher probieren durfte. Aber für den Preis ein guter Fang. 46% wären zwar schöner, aber auch die 43% haben genug Kraft. Man kann auch 1-2 Tropfen Wasser dazu geben, wenn man möchte. Schon sehr eichenlastig, viel länger hätte der wohl nicht im Faß bleiben dürfen.
