Product description
This white, intense rhum agricole is the result of a collaboration between the Maison Trois Rivières and the Sud de la Martinique community association. Like all of the distillery's other rums, it is made from farm-grown sugar cane and distilled in column stills. The Caribbean-French rhum creation is matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Before bottling, seawater from the Diamond Coast is added, which gives it its mineral and slightly salty notes. In 1660, Nicolas Fouquet, a minister under King Louis XIV, founded the Trois Rivières plantation. The plantation is one of the oldest in Martinique. It is located along a beach road in Sainte-Luce and can be recognised from afar by its striking windmill, which offers an impressive view of the Caribbean Sea. Since 1785, Trois Rivières has not only been growing sugar cane but also producing rhum agricole, making it one of the oldest active distilleries in the world.

Herstellerbeschreibung
on 27.03.2024
