This bottling consists of rhum that has been aged for at least five years, which is one year longer than the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Controlee) regulations stipulate, according to which a rhum VSOP must have been matured for at least four years.
The Dillon Rhum was named after the famous General Count Arthur Dillon. Distilled in the Depaz Distillery, the rhum is then matured in the so-called Dillon Estate. In order to receive the "controlled designation of origin" (AOC) seal, the rum must meet very high quality standards.

The Distillery: Dillon
General Arthur Dillon, who arrived in Martinique with his regiment in 1779, gave his name to the distillery. The colours for the Maison Dillon logo were borrowed from the uniform of his regiment, which wore red and gold.
