Tamdhu Batch Strength 008 is bottled unfiltered, at the natural strength of the batch and has a rich, natural copper colour. It owes this to its maturation in hand-picked Oloroso barrels from the bodegas of Jerez.

The Distillery: Tamdhu

Situated at Knockando in the center of the Speyside the Tamdhu Distillery managed to survive difficult years of economical ups and downs. This is due to the status of Tamdhu Whisky as a reliable component in the Blends of the Highland Distillers for years. It always was “The Can-Dhu-Spirit”. Since 2011 the distillery belongs to Ian Macleod Distillers who meanwhile started a revival of the brand and relaunched the Single Malt Tamdhu successfully. read more

Bei der ersten Probe war ich nicht so begeistert, nach 2 Wochen und 30 Minuten Verbleib im Glas hat er genug geatmet und er hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Zu empfehlen!

Geschmack: Noten von scharfen Sommerbeeren und kandierter Zitronenschale geschmack

Abgang: Eleganter Sherry-Eichen-Abgang mit einem Hauch von Feigender am Gaumen nachklingt.

Aroma: Dunkle und nussige Noten von spanischer Eiche mit Akzenten von cremiger Vanille und schmelzender Honigwabe.

Geschmack: Würzig mit Anklängen von sommerlichen Beeren sowie süßer, kandierter Zitronenschale.

Abgang: Langer und weicher Abgang mit Sherrynoten und einem Hauch Eichenholz und subtilen Aromen von Feigen.
