Product description
Port Charlotte has been presenting itself in a new design since 2018. The barley for the 2013 bottling of Islay Barley comes from seven selected farms on the island. Three quarters of the bottling matured in ex-bourbon casks, the remaining quarter in first-fill French red wine casks.

Rauchig, glimmerndes Holz im Kamin mit feinen Rauchschwaden,
Intensiv, ölig, Zitrus, Fisch und Holz

Geschmack:
Zuerst unglaublich weich, aber dann entzündet sich im Mund ein Geschmacksfeuerwerk mit Zitrus, Salz und Fisch
Vanille-Pfeffer-Holz, rauchig, sehr wenig Frucht

Abgang: leicht und zugleich schwer, komplex und rauchig

Toller Whisky, hat ein gewisses Etwas, weil irgendwie leicht und doch schwer zugleich.

Kommentar: Ich hatte einen eher jungen, stark rauchigen Whisky mit einem komplexen Geschmack erwartet. Was ich bekommen habe war ein weicher, weniger Rauch intensiver, runderer Whisky. Sonst aber sehr lecker.
