McClelland's is one of the most enduring brands from the days of the old Stanley P. Morrison whisky dynasty. It was launched in 1986 as a range of unidentified Single Malt bottlings based on four Scotch whisky regions: Islay, Highlands, Lowlands and Speyside. The bottling from Islay is adorned with a drawing of the village of Port Charlotte, located on the island.

Kommentar: Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und das ansprechende Design retten den McClelland für mich auf drei Sterne. Rauch, auch nach Öffnung eher dezent, verfliegt nach ein paar Wochen sehr schnell. Maritime Noten auch eher zu erahnen als wirklich präsent. Knapp drei Sterne. Lieber ein paar Euro mehr investieren und das Original mit 12 Jahren und Sherryfass-Anteil holen.
