Product description

This Linkwood was released by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. Andrew Symington founded his company at the end of the 80s and has always maintained good contact with the distilleries. Today, he can call a warehouse of over 10,000 casks his own.

This bottling belongs to Signatory's Cask Strength Collection, in which the whiskies were bottled directly at cask strength and matured for a quarter of a century in two hogsheads. Especially recommended for advanced connoisseurs. All bottles bear precise information about the distillation and bottling dates as well as information about the casks on the label.

The Distillery: Linkwood

Peter Brown founded the distillery in 1821. At its inception, the site had only two stills, and Whisky operation wasn't entirely legal yet. The distillery formally began operations in 1825, after Whisky distillation was legalized. Brown's original distillery operated with only one wash still and one spirit still. read more

Goldfarben.
Sehr appetitlich.

Eine eher würzige Nase.
Extrem kräftig.
Dann feuchtes Holz, junge Früchte,
Honig, Wiese,
ein Hauch Vanille.

Im Mund sehr cremig, Bienenwachs, vergorene Früchte,
Muskat, und ein ganz kräftiger Holzgeschmack.

Der länger der steht desto mehr gibt es zu entdecken.

Kommentar: Tropische Früchte überall, kräftig, würzig mit Chili und Ingwer. Die Eiche eher dezent aber da, bittere Noten zum Ende hin. Honigaromen.
Sehr schöner alter Linkwood, die Fruchtigkeit ist Klasse.
