Product description
The new Laphroaig 2.0 is the second bottling in the experimental Elements series. The series deals with the modified production of the whisky. This time, too, the time of the fermentation process was experimented with and the 55-hour fermentation process was deviated from. The fermentation process was extended by up to 115 hours, whereby special aeration is required. The result is a very fruity flavour that joins the typical smoky aroma.

Laphroaig (pronounced 'La-froig') means 'the beautiful hollow by a broad bay' in Gaelic. The area around the distillery, which is located on the remote island of Islay (pronounced 'Ei-la') off the west coast of Scotland, is just as beautiful. Laphroaig Whiskies are considered the most smoky-intense malt Whiskies from Scotland. read more

    Aroma: Üppig und harmonisch – dichter Torfrauch, süßer Sherry, Vanille, dunkle Früchte und BBQ-Glasur. Ein Hauch Leder und Seetang im Hintergrund.

    Geschmack: Kräftig, cremig, wunderbar ausgewogen zwischen Süße, Rauch und Würze. Noten von Toffee, Espresso und salzigem Karamell.

    Abgang: Lang, warm und ölig, mit Kakao, Lagerfeuerrauch und maritimer Frische.

    Kommentar: Ein Volltreffer – komplex, elegant, mit genau dem richtigen Maß an Süße und Kraft.
