The J. Bally Millesime Rhum comes from one of the oldest distilleries in Martinique. The local distillery J. Bally was closed in 1989, but the distillery Saint James continues to distil and mature. J. Bally's process is one of the first in which the sugar cane is harvested from its own plantation, the sugar cane juice is distilled on column stills in the Creole style and then matured in oak barrels. After its maturation, the J.Bally Ambré Rhum is bottled at 45% vol. without the addition of colouring and unsweetened.
