This 11-year-old Craigellachie is part of Signatory Vintage's small batch range and was bottled without chill-filtering and without the addition of colouring. The Speyside whisky matured in Oloroso sherry casks and has a particularly full-bodied flavour thanks to wormtubs.

In the heart of the Speyside near the little town of Craigellachie/Banffshire lies a distillery that was founded in 1891 at the peak of the Whisky boom and survived until today. Craigellachie Distillery is situated on a hill and overlooks the town.The difficult Gaelic name means “Rocky Hill” and is pronounced Krai-GELLacky.

Sehr nussiges Aroma, viel Malz. Die Fruchtigkeit ist dezent und auf der reifen bis überreifen Seite.
Geschmack:
Würziger antritt, dann malzig. Sherry ist recht im Hintergrund. Eiche macht das ganze angenehm trocken.
Abgang: recht kurz, die Malzigkeit bleibt aber länger
Kommentar: Die Malzigkeit ist etwas stark, andere Aromen sind sehr im Hintergrund. Sehr komplex ist er auch nicht, aber den Preis absolut wert. Sehr lecker...

Herrlich süffig. Sherryaromen, die den Whisky nicht erschlagen treffen auf die für Craigellachie recht typische Kupferrohrnote.
