The Bladnoch The Dragon Series is inspired by the dragon curve, a fractional curve in mathematics that emerges from a simple origin. The Dragon Series is a tribute to the timeless power struggle between science and nature. The series represents diversity in whisky production and the balance between order and chaos. Iteration V - The Decision focuses on the part of the whisky making process where the decisions for the final products are made in the sample room of the Lowlands distillery. All variations and unpredictabilities are looked at by the Master Distiller and his team, checked and, if necessary, eliminated to make the final result as consistent and productive as possible. For the fifth bottling in the series, the distillate was matured in Hungarian Tokaji wine casks and Spanish Canasta sherry casks.
