Product description
The Bladnoch Alinta is a heavily peated Single Malt from the 205-year-old distillery and was still produced by the previous owners in 2009. The whisky is matured in first fill Bourbon casks and first fill PX sherry casks. Since 2015, Bladnoch has been owned by the Australian private entrepreneur David Prior. The Lowlander is bottled at 47% strength without the addition of colouring and without chill-filtration, which makes it very multi-faceted.

    Aroma: Süßlicher erdiger Rauch (18 bis 25 PPM) mit Karamell, blumigen Noten, Schokolade, Orangenhaut und Kumquats. Einsatz der PX-Fässer deutlich wahrnehmbar.

    Geschmack: Würzig, wuchtig und delikat: Rosinenen und Sultaninne mit rauchiger Vollmilchschokolade und leichtem Einschlag nach Pfeffer oder Lakritze.

    Abgang: Lang. Ordentlicher Rauch mit einer süßlichen Würze. Gebrannte Nüße, Grillbanane und geschmolzene Marshmellows.

    Kommentar: Toller Lowland-Whisky. Rauch ganz akzeptabel, hätte für meinen Geschmack noch rauchiger sein können! Dafür finde ich die Art des Rauches interssant: Nicht so torfig und medizinisch wie auf Islay, nicht so süß wie auf Orkney, nicht so schwach wie bei Ardmore! Preis/Leistung ganz ordentlich. Design/Umverpackung der Flasche sehr ansprechend! Für anspruchsvolle Whisky-Freaks (wie mich selbst) ein absolutes muss!
