In the As We Get It! series, Ian MacLeod fills the casks as they are: uncoloured, not chill-filtered and at cask strength. This means that no two batches are the same. This single malt comes from the island of Islay and is bottled at 60.4% vol.

Kommentar: Braucht natürlich Wasser (und sieht im Glas dann auch wie Wasser aus :), damit einem keine Löcher in die Zunge gebrannt werden. Aber so viel leckere Vanille, passend zum Rauch, gibt es selten. Vielleicht sogar zum Blenden geeignet: nur ein paar Tropfen von diesem hier in einen zu zahmen Whisky... und tataa! Schon wird er spannender. Gefällt mir jedenfalls besser als der beliebte "Big Peat".

Kommentar:
mit der Zugabe von Wasser wird das Aroma intensiver, es kommt eine samtig-ölige Note beim Geschmack hinzu u. der Abgang wird ein wenig milder.

Ein Top Whisky, wo Preis-Leitung stimmen
