Angel's Envy - the envy of the angel - is one of the few Kentucky Straight Bourbons with post-maturation in sweet wine barrels. During the almost six years of maturation in the barrels, around five per cent of the alcohol evaporates, a small part that is also called 'Angel's Share'.

Kommentar: Ungewöhnlicher Bourbon. SEHR weich. Der geringe Alkoholgehalt ist nicht so störend wie ich befürchtet habe. Das finish macht da einiges wett. Die typischen Bourbon-Noten von Eiche Vanille und Karamell sind da. Das Finish fügt eine sehr schöne, beerige Note hinzu. Passt wunderbar. Ist aber kein Bourbon für Cocktails, da geht er total unter. Man muss ihn pur und ohne Eis genießen, da er auch auf Eis geschmacklich nicht stand hält. Wenn man ihn aber pur genießt dann erhält man eine schöne neue Variante des bekannten Bourbon-Profils...
