Product description
Glen Scotia's limited special bottling for the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024 was distilled from unpeated malt and matured in first-fill bourbon casks. The single malt was then matured for at least 6 months in fino sherry casks. The 9-year-old whisky is bottled without the addition of colour, without chill-filtering and at cask strength. To get you in the mood for the annual whisky festival in May, you can scan a QR code with your smartphone to access the music library of singer-songwriter Neil Ridley, music producer Dean Homer and Scottish singer Jenny Sturgeon.

Aroma: Lemon Lime Maritime Notes Vanilla Herbs Fruit Deutliche Zitrusnoten und maritime Anklänge. Süße Vanille und helle Früchte, auch ein paar frische Kräuter.

Geschmack: Sweet Sherry Spices Oak Überraschend süß und jetzt kommt auch der Sherry durchDeftige Würzigkeit und auch Eiche blitzt auf.

Abgang: Sherry Spices Sweet Herb Oak Auch im Abgang dominiert zunächst der süße Sherry, dann setzen sich Gewürze durch. Adstringierend und mit kräftiger, aber angenehmer Eichennote.

Kommentar: wieder ein sehr schöne Festivalabfüllung, die trotz ihres vergleichweise jungen Alters kraftvoll daher kommt. Ein wenig Wasser kitzelt noch ein bißchen mehr raus und ist absolut empfehlenswert.
