The youngest blend in this Don Pancho Origen blend has been matured for 18 years in fresh American oak barrels (from Kentucky). Señor Francisco "Don Pancho" Fernandez Perez has worked in the rum world for over five decades. His career began in Cuba with Havana Club, where he most recently worked as Master Blender. In the early 1990s, he moved to Panama, where he developed the famous Ron Abuelo together with Varela Hermanos. In the years that followed, his experience and sensory skills led him to be involved in various brands, including Grander Rum, Ron de Jeremy, Panama Red, Cana Brava, Selvarey Rum, Zafra and others. At the age of 75, Don Pancho then presented his masterpiece, the first rum to bear his name: Origenes by Don Pancho. The rum reflects the Cuban soul of Don Pancho.
