Product description

Wolfburn Distillery was founded in 1821 and is recognised as the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland. Wolfburn's whiskies are known for their smooth character and high quality due to the traditional, artisanal methods used. This Wolfburn single malt spent its maturation period in ex-bourbon casks and first-fill Sauternes wine casks from France. The 8-year-old offers a tropical, fruity flavour and was bottled exclusively for Germany.

The Distillery: Wolfburn

Wolfburn is the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland. It was originally built in 1821 but had to close again in the course of the 19th century and today only ruins of the old complex remain. In 2011, a new distillery was built not far from the ruins and in the meantime the production volume has returned to the same level as in the 19th century. The logo features a wolf, whose related mythical creature, the so-called 'sea wolf', is said to bring good luck to all those who set eyes on it. Aroma: Reich an Früchten, Banane und Honig, Milchschokolade, Pfirsich, Joghurt.

Geschmack: Tropische Süße und Fruchtigkeit, Vanillecreme, Passionsfrucht, Aprikose, Kirsch-Bananensaft, Sirup, Zuckerwatte.

Abgang: Fruchtig, blumig und cremig mit Noten von Geleebananen, weißen Trauben und grünen Noten von Salz und Anis.
