	Type	Single Malt Whiskey
	Aroma	Fruity with pickled cherries, then sweetish with accents of dark honey and some tree resin.
	Taste	Fresh bread dough, some malt, then the fruit sweetness comes back. The cherry is riper and darker on the palate, then spicy honey again.
	Finish	Oak spice and some roasted malt, then more fruity again and at the end earthy notes with slight hints of wood smoke.

Product description

The Westward Single Barrel was bottled exclusively for the company Kirsch Import and the German market. For the whiskey, which is made from 100% two-row regional barley, new American oak barrels with a distillation degree of 2 were charred for the 6 years of maturation. Afterwards, the Single Malt was bottled at drinking strength with 46.7%. The Westward distillery is located in the main barley growing region of Portland, Oregon. So it stands to reason that they also use local barley malt to produce whiskey. Westward is one of the few US Single Malts that is produced according to strict criteria that are very similar to those for Scotch.

Aroma: Fruchtig mit eingelegten Kirschen, dann süßlich mit Akzenten von dunklem Honig und etwas Baumharz.

Geschmack: Frischer Brotteig, etwas Malz, dann kommt die Fruchtsüße zurück. Die Kirsche ist am Gaumen reifer und dunkler, dann wieder würziger Honig.

Abgang: Eichenwürze und etwas geröstetes Malz, dann wieder fruchtiger und am Ende kommen erdig Noten mit leichten Anklängen von Holzrauch hinzu.
