The Outpost Range of the American Westland distillery focuses on the origin of the raw materials used (also called terroir). The Single Malt Whiskey Solum is the first in the series and is intended to bring the essence of the North Pacific into the glass and represents the whiskey style of the region. Belgian ale yeast is used for the 95-144 hour fermentation. The distillate is matured for at least 3 years in and bottled without chill filtering and in natural colour. The whiskey is distilled in the Scottish style.
