William Larue Weller was the first to distil Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with wheat instead of rye. Even today, only a few bourbon whiskeys are still produced with wheat.
Weller's bottlings are released by the Buffalo Trace distillery. At 12 years old, the wheated bourbon matured for longer than usual.

Kommentar: wer Wheat Bourbons mag (und es sich leisten kann) sollte sollte Larceny oder Makers Mark stehen lassen und den hier nehmen. Ist m.E. nicht top of the notch (daher vllt over-priced) aber dennoch ein sehr2 guter und vor allem milder Bourbon zum Genießen.
