Product description
For the Wonders of Wood series from Teeling, unique types of wood are selected for cask maturation. Like its predecessor, the third edition contains 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, which is triple distilled in a pot still. For the maturation of up to 6 years, fresh barrels of Swedish white oak are used, which is denser and more robust compared to other oak species from Northern Europe. Swedish oak produces a distinct candied ginger and almond molasses character that is unique to Irish whiskey. The whiskey is bottled at 50% vol. without chill-filtering.
