Product description

This Teaninich belongs to the Octave series by Duncan Taylor. In the series, the independent bottler experiments with the influence of cask size on maturation. Octave casks, at around 50 litres, are only a fraction as large as the usual cask types. As a result, the whisky has more contact with the cask surface and matures more intensively. The Teaninich spent nine months in Octave casks and was then bottled exclusively for Whisky.de.

The Distillery: Teaninich

Teaninich distillery is located very close to the village of Alness. Other well-known Highland distilleries, such as Dalmore and Glenmorangie, are located in the immediate proximity. A stone's throw away from the distillery is Teaninich Castle, which was renovated by its owner when the distillery was founded, but now houses a hotel and restaurant. read more

Aroma: Warmer Apfelkuchen mit Staubzucker und frischer Sahne umhüllt von einer dezenten Peffernuance.

Geschmack: Sherry verbunden mit Biskuitteig, weißer Schokolade und Pudding-Creme, abgerundet durch würzige Pflaumennoten und gerösteten Nüssen.
