Aroma Notes of ripe toasted oak, roasted caramel, dry roasted nuts, marzipan and orange peel meet delicate and fruity hints.
Taste Smooth, balanced and sweet with fruity spice. Facets of dark cherries, chocolate, dates and plum follow, merging into sweet oak spices with accents of clove, vanilla and cinnamon.
Finish Light notes of dried mango, raspberry and ginger.
Maturation Finish in cognac casks

Product description
The Zacapa XO Rum is made from a combination of old reserve rums made from sugar cane honey. Hand-selected rums aged between 10 and 25 years that have been aged in the solera process are blended with older and younger rums as they mature in a series of casks that have previously held American whiskies, delicate sherries and fine Pedro Ximénez wines. The rum is then finished and refined in French oak barrels that previously held cognac. Ron Zacapa XO is best enjoyed neat or on ice.

Aroma: Sweet Spices Chocolate Tropical Fruit ein schönes Bouquet umstreift die Nase, sehr ausgewogen und intensiv. Kein einfacher Rum.

Geschmack: Dark Chocolate Coffee Sweet Honey Date Plum am Gaumen recht komplex mit vielen Facetten! erst leicht herb mit bitteren Noten von Schokolade und Datteln, dann süß werdend mit einem regelrechten Fruchtkompott, Pfirsich bleibt als letzter Akzent übrig.

Abgang: Nuts Vanilla Herb Sweet im Abgang süß und cremig, hingehend zu würzigen Noten von Nüssen und Mandeln.

Kommentar: kein günstiger Rum, aber Er ist den Preis definitiv wert!

Aroma: Noten von reifer gerösteter Eiche, gebranntem Karamell, trocken gerösteten Nüssen, Marzipan und Orangenschale trifft auf zarte und fruchtige Anklänge.

Geschmack: Glatt, ausgewogen und süß mit fruchtiger Würze. Es folgen Facetten von dunklen Kirschen, Schokolade, Datteln und Pflaume, die in süßen Eichengewürze mit Akzenten von Nelke, Vanille und Zimt übergehen.

Abgang: Leichte Noten von getrockneter Mango, Himbeere und Ingwer.
