The Colombian producer of Gin, cigars and coffee is best known for its rum. Dictador was founded in 1913 in Cartagena on the northern coast of Colombia. Great importance is attached to careful production and well-kept recipes, which are continued today by the third generation of the Parra family. The 20-year-old Dictador Rum Icon Reserve is made from the fermentation of pure sugar cane honey and distilled partly in Copper Pot Stills and partly in a Continuous Steel Column Still. Aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and finished in ex-port wine casks, the Colombian rum is bottled at 40% vol.

Sehr sehr lecker. Kaffee mit einer schönen Pfeffer-Würze. Dazu eine angenehme Süße. Der bleibt in meinem Barfach Stammgast.

Kommentar: Ein geschmackvoller und recht intensiver Rum.
Update: Ein paar Rum-Bekanntschaften später, muss ich sagen, dass ist mit Abstand der beste Rum (zumindest für mich). Von der Intensität her ist der 20jährige sogar stärker als der Platinum.
