The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and is one of the best-known and most successful family-run distilleries in Scotland. The owner family Grant is proud of its private status, which is reflected in the distillery's slogan ‘The Spirit of Independence’. Since 1865, the fifth generation of the Grant family has been shaping the history of the Glenfarclas distillery. This long family tradition guarantees consistent quality and the necessary foresight for a long-lasting product such as Whisky.     Kommentar: Heute ist der leider nicht mehr das was er mal war zumal zu dem Preis. Da finde ich den 12yo trinity-cask besser und der ist 20€ billiger.
    Von dem fasstarken trinity-cask rede ich garnicht mal, denn der ist ein Kracher
    für 3 € mehr.

    Comment: The whisky is a real rocket. The nose is so alive and "naughty", and so many things are going on in there: fruits, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, and spice. The taste starts sweet but immediately kicks off, and your whole mouth goes on fire. My tongue feels tingly and numb, then my whole mouth and my lips, and this is endless; it never ends. So much ginger and pepper, but also fruits, caramel, and chocolate are in the flavors. I can play with this whisky with my tongue for so much time without getting bored or the whisky losing flavors.

    The aftertaste is one of the best I have ever received. It's hot, pleasant, and endless. You feel so good at that point, and you stay dizzy for a few seconds from the pleasure.

    For sure, the most complex, lively, and interesting whisky I have tried.
