Product description
The 15-year-old Glenfarclas is bottled at a stronger 46% vol. This was the alcohol strength at which the current distillery owner's grandfather enjoyed his favourite Single Malt. Highland is still written on the bottles today, as Glenfarclas was produced before the Scottish whisky regions were subdivided and although Glenfarclas is based in what is now Speyside. The distillery has the largest stills, which are directly fuelled. The Highland whisky is matured in sherry casks and bottled without chill-filtering or the addition of colour.

The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and is one of the best-known and most successful family-run distilleries in Scotland. The owner family Grant is proud of its private status, which is reflected in the distillery's slogan ‘The Spirit of Independence’. Since 1865, the fifth generation of the Grant family has been shaping the history of the Glenfarclas distillery. This long family tradition guarantees consistent quality and the necessary foresight for a long-lasting product such as Whisky. „Dieser 15-jährige Glenfarclas verbindet Eleganz mit Kraft. Komplexe Nase: getrocknete Früchte, Marzipan, Leder und ein Hauch Weihnachtsgewürz. Am Gaumen kräftig, cremig, mit intensiven Noten von Nuss, Sherry, Toffee und einer dezenten Eichennote. Der Abgang ist lang, würzig und leicht trocken. Ein Whisky, der zeigt, dass 15 Jahre Reife und gute Fassarbeit.
