The rums from Malecon Rum have their origins in Panama and are produced according to Cuban tradition. The Malecon Rum Rare Proof Vintage from 2014 is a limited edition small batch rum made from high-quality, local molasses in Panama. The sugar cane used for this comes from the fields around the distillery and guarantees high quality during further processing. The fermented molasses is distilled in the Cuban tradition in column stills and then matured for 7 years in American white oak barrels.
