	Laphroaig 10 years Aroma: Medical - smoky, with a hint of seaweed. Taste: Smoky, sweet-medicinal-phenolic, salty. Finish: Long lasting and pronounced.
	Laphroaig Cask Strength, 10 years Aroma: Sweet apple compote garnished with caramel biscuits, followed by cereals, tanned leather and vanilla. Taste: Sweet and spicy on the palate with vanilla and sea salt, mixed with savoury meaty notes and freshly ground black pepper. Finish: Long, warm and spicy finish with maritime smoke and oak notes and an oily mouthfeel. Cask type: Bourbon casks.
	Laphroaig Sherry Oak Finish, 10 years Aroma: Sweet-smoky and medicinal with honey, aromatic cloves and grilled smoked bacon. Leather, iodine, pine and tar in the background. Taste: Sweet of wax and furniture polish, followed by caramel syrup. Maple syrup, dark chocolate, pencil shavings, pine needles and cedar. Finish: Long and sweet on spicy honey and lingering medicinal notes. Cask type: Refill oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks, finish in oloroso sherry casks.

Product description

Laphroaig stands for intensely smoky malts - so it's no wonder that the Islay distillery places great importance on its own peat. The hand-cut peat is first dried for three months and then used to dry the grain on Laphroaig's own malting floors. In the live tasting we sample three of the smoky creations, including: the 10 year old classic, Laphroaig 10 year old matured at cask strength and the 10 year old Laphroaig finished in sherry oak casks.

Join Ben Lüning and Laphroaig Brand Ambassador Mark Armin Giesler to taste three Single Malts from the Islay distillery. The live tasting will take place at www.whisky.de/live on Friday, 17 November 2023 in German at 7 pm. At 8 pm you can follow the tasting from English.

Laphroaig (pronounced 'La-froig') means 'the beautiful hollow by a broad bay' in Gaelic. The area around the distillery, which is located on the remote island of Islay (pronounced 'Ei-la') off the west coast of Scotland, is just as beautiful.
