Product description
Glenmorangie Nectar d'Or, the 'golden nectar', like every bottling from the Extra Matured range, was first matured in bourbon casks and then post-matured in the white wine casks. Sauternes is probably one of the most famous wine-growing regions in France. The region produces very sweet white wines. In 2019, a new line-up followed: the age statement was omitted from this Single Malt Nectar d'Or.

Aroma: Sweet Fruit Zitrus Fruit Berries Einerseits eine milde Traubenzuckersüße, aber auch frische, etwas stechende Zitrusaromen. Nach einiger Zeit finden sich auch Früchte und süße Beeren. Man ahnt die Jugend ein wenig.

Geschmack: Sweet Fruit Spices Süß und fruchtig, dazu leicht pricklige Gewürznoten.

Abgang: Sweet Spices Herb Oak Sagenhaft süß, sehr würzig. Eine leicht herbe Trockenheit am Gaumen, es könnte auch Ingwerschärfe sein. Ein wenig Eiche ist bemerkbar, aber ohne uns unangenehme abzudriften.

Kommentar: eine positive Überraschung. Hier hatte ich gar nicht erwartet, dass mir das gefallen würde. Für einen NAS ausreichend komplex. Den heutigen Preis zwar nicht unbedingt wert, aber dennoch ein leckerer Schluck. Sehr süffig.

Zitrusnote zurückhaltend. Tropische Früchte (z.B. Ananas) wahrnehmbar, im Hintergrund etwas Vanille. Im Geschmack dann ein starker Antritt mit viel Würze, Orange und zum Schluss ganz kurz Kokosnuss und Litschi! Ziemlich interessant!
