The Evolution is one of a series of exclusive and limited young bottlings of different oak characteristics. The aim is to give connoisseurs a small insight into the different development of maturing whiskies in different casks.
This bottling was matured in first fill white oak casks, in which George Dickel Whiskey was previously stored.

Aroma: Vanille, Pudding, Crême Brulée, Süße, Gebäck, ungebackener Kuchenteig; dahinter süße, helle, teilweise exotische Früchte; bekommt sogar nen floralen Touch, etwas Holz; riecht wie ein fantastischer Nachtisch in einem Eichenschrank
Geschmack: oh wow, deutlich sauere Anteile dabei, Eiche, Wumms, Gewürz, VOLL; Vanille, süße Obstgarten-Früchte, bisschen Alkohol, Pfirsich, Zitrus, frisch
Abgang: deutlich changierend zwischen Holz, sauer-süß (Zitrus, Pfirsich), Gewürz, Gebäck, frisch gut; hier die Vanille kaum noch, aber lecker!
Kommentar: stark, echt gut, richtig voll, süß, frisch, lecker, da ist ne Menge drin, ganz schön viele schöne Aromen!

Aroma: leicht, mild, frisch, Williams-Birne, Vanille(pudding), grüne Apfelschale. Nach längerem Riechen Saft von Obstsalat (nicht säuerlich)
Geschmack: weich, cremig, dann ein Schwall pfeffriger Würze (angenehm) gefolgt von leichter Getreide-Süße, angedeutet reife Bananen,
Abgang: mittellang würzig-pfeffrig, leicht herb werdend, deutlich frische Orangenschale im geleerten Glas
Kommentar: ausergewöhnlicher, jung wirkender Whisky, der an einen Birnenobstler (junges Destillat) erinnert und im Mund mit pfeffriger Würze und im Nachklang mit Orangenschale überrascht. Mit 50Vol% gut trinkbar. Sehr gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Kenne keinen vergleichbaren, ähnlich war nur ein deutscher 50Vol% Moonschine Whisky, allerdings ohne den Pfeffer. Empfehlenswert.
