Product description

The 7-year-old Glenallachie was created by Billy Walker, the Master Distiller of the Speyside distillery, and matured in American oak casks. Afterwards, the whisky was refined for about 18 months in fresh oak casks from Hungary. Without the addition of colour and without chill filtering, the Single Malt Whisky is then bottled at 48%.

Aroma: Lieblich und fein würzig: Zuckerkonfeckt, Honig, Rosinen, Schokolade, etwas Vanille, frische Orange und Zitrusfrucht. Alkohkol sehr gut eingebunden kaum wahrnehmbar!

Geschmack: Fein, fruchtig und glatt: Vanillebentont, blumig und cremig. Malzige Kekse mit Butterkamellfüllung.

Abgang: Kurz bis mittel: Würzige Eichenfracht die in Schokolade übergeht. Deutliche Restsüße spürbar.

Kommentar: Solider jugendlicher Single Malt, der nicht zu vielschichtig, aber dennoch im Geschmack gewisse Auffälligkeiten hat. Das Finish mit der Ungarischen Eiche ist doch ganz gut gelungen. Für Einsteiger wie für Fortgeschrittene zu empfehlen. Bekommt am Ende dann doch Abzüge weil im dann doch Komplexität fehlt (Stichwort 7 Jahre).

Aroma: Butterscotchnoten verbinden sich mit Zitrusanklängen, Milchschokolade, Zimt und Rosinen. Frisches Obst und Ingwer folgen nach.

Geschmack: Heidehonig, Zimt, Schokolade und Zitronenbonbons treffen auf Noten von karamellisiertem braunen Zucker.
