Product description
This 9-year-old Glenallachie was created by Billy Walker, the Speyside distillery's Master Distiller for the Wood Collection, and matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in Amontillado sherry hogsheads. The single malt whisky is then bottled at 48% without the addition of colour or chill filtering. Amontillado sherry is born as a fino and undergoes an additional maturation period, which gives it a strong colour and fruity facets, which the barrels containing it in turn pass on to the whisky.
