Product description
This 6-year-old rum made from molasses also comes from the Cotopaxi province in the eastern Andes. It was bottled exclusively for a German importer at cask strength after distillation on column stills and maturation in barrels that previously contained Scotch whisky. The design of the bottle labels is reminiscent of the colourful woven patterns often found in ponchos and the traditional clothing of the locals in Ecuador.

Aroma: Toffifee, Fruchtnoten von Banane und dezente Holzaromen, gefolgt von floralen Anklängen von Rosen und dezenter Vanille.
Geschmack: Ähnlich komplex wie die Nase dazu eine leichte Süße.
Abgang: Sehr weich und langanhaltend mit angenehmen Bitternoten.

Die Fruchtnoten kommen auch im Geschmack, eine gewisse Bitterkeit wie bei Kakao typisch.
Abgang: Der Abgang ist vergleichsweise kurz, eine leicht Bitterkeit und Trockenheit verbleibt am Gaumen
Kommentar: Ein etwas ungewöhnlicher Rum, etwas mehr Süsse wäre wünschenswert gewesen.
