The Ghosts series revives already closed distilleries as part of the Macbeth Collection. First Ghost is a 31-year-old Cambus bottling.
The Macbeth series was created in a collaboration between Scotch designer Lexi Livingstone Burgess and Elixir Distillers from England. The illustrations by artist Sir Quentin Blake feature a different character from Shakespeare's tragedy on each bottle. There are to be a total of 42 different special bottlings in this series, which will be released in three annual acts until 2025. The tasting notes were written in rhyme by spirits expert and author Dave Broom.
