Product description
The 10-year-old Staoisha single malt from Bunnahabhain is part of the Cask Collection series from independent bottler A.D. Rattray. It matured for 8 years in a bourbon hogshead and was then matured for 218 months in a Tkaji cask. A barrique holds 225 litres. This type of barrel was originally used as a transport barrel for wine exports. The pre-fermentation of the barrique with Hungarian white wine adds facets of orchard fruits and mineral accents to the matured whisky. Originally a trading company founded by Andrew Dewar Rattray, his descendant Tim Morrison developed the company into an independent bottler with its own brands. All whiskies in the Cask Collection are not chill-filtered and are colourless.
