Blackened is a blend of hand-selected, well-aged North American Bourbon and Rye whiskeys that resulted from the collaboration of the late Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and the band Metallica. The Blend was uniquely matured in black brandy barrels while music by Metallica was played at full volume. This is to allow the liquid to penetrate deeper into the barrel staves. A very creative, new approach to maturation.
