Douglas Laing releases the Big Peat Rock Edition, a special edition of the popular Blend. This bottling was designed exclusively for and in creative collaboration with Whisky.de and matured in a sherry cask. The finish in a sherry cask is an absolute rarity for the Big Peats. The Rock Edition is part of the 'Big Peat's World Tour' in which the popular Islay fisherman travels to other countries to leave his Taste footprint. Eleven countries have already been part of this series. Now the Big Peat is rocking through Germany again on his tour.

Aroma: Rauch (Sherry, Nüsse, Orange), erdig, torfig und maritim (salzige Seeluft/Seetang) und das alles auf einen Schlag: Wuchtige Vielfätigkeit im Glas!

Geschmack: Voll, süß und torfig: Grillfleisch/Schinken mit süßer Marinade (Datteln, Beerenfrüchten, Pfeffer) angemacht. Eine Spur Salz dabei.

Abgang: Mittel bis lang: Wieder intensiver Rauch/Torf mit ordentlicher Süße. Eingelegte gebratene Früchte mit Salz bestreut, wie bei einem Dessert auf dem Grill zubereitet.

Kommentar: Was für ein geiler Whisky! Rauch und vielfältige Aromen im Zusammenspiel mit einem Sherryfass! Besser geht es einfach nicht mehr! Für 60 Euro tolles Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Jederzeit wieder! Let´s Rock 'n' Roll!!!
