Product description

In contrast to most Speyside distilleries, very slightly smoky malt is used to produce the 10-year-old Benromach. Most of the Single Malt was matured in ex-bourbon casks. 20% of the whisky was matured in sherry casks. Despite a newly designed label with the usual contents. Two glasses are included for tasting in company.

The Distillery: Benromach

The distillery was founded by F.W. Brickmann and John Callum in the year 1898. Two years later they started the production. The distillery is right next to the City of Forres in the Speyside. read more

Ich gebe zu ich liebe Benromach. Der 10er 15er und der CS vor allem Batch 1 alle Hervorragend für mich. 10 er werde ich immer kaufen , geht seit 2014 so und immer Super für mich. Design ist mir Egal solange er so bleibt im Geschmack

Kommentar: Mehr Rauch als erwartet, sehr facettenreicher Geschmack. Fruchtiger im Geschmack als in der Nase. Insgesamt aber weniger Rauch als Islay-Whiskys. Leichte Alkoholnote. Aber preislich super. Ich finde ihn top!

Hatte den ewig im Auge als ersten Versuch mit Benromach und hab ihn jetzt wegen der zwei Glencairn dazu gekauft. Und ein guter Kauf, intensiver Speysider der selbst ohne die dort eher untypische Rauchnote bereits recht komplex ist für 10 Jahre. Fruchtig, Rauch, Sherry, würzig-pfeffrig im Geschmack und zum Abgang, der am ehesten den Rauch zeigt um dann recht schnell aber nicht hastig weg zu sein. Unter den 10/12 y Standards einer der deutlich besseren, deshalb 4,5…
