Baie des Trésors Karakoli Rhum is produced in Martinique. The island in the Caribbean is characterised by rugged scenic beauty and is part of the Lesser Antilles. The French overseas department has a characteristic culture with a mixture of French and West Indian influences, in which cultivated sugar cane can flourish. Karakoli is a rhum agricole, i.e. a rum made from fresh sugar cane juice and purely agricultural production. It is matured for at least 3 years in American oak barrels.

The Distillery:
The Rhum Agricole Baie des Trésors is produced at Habitation Le Galion. A sugar cane factory was built on the historic estate in the middle of the 19th century and is still the only one active on the Caribbean island of Martinique today. Since 2018, Baie des Trésors has also been producing Rum.
