Product description
The 12-year-old Auchentoshan was relaunched in 2019 with a new design. The aim is to appeal to a young, urban audience. The Lowlands distillery Auchentoshan is known for its triple distillation, which makes the Single Malt whisky particularly smooth and mild. The 12-year maturation in Bourbon and sherry casks adds complexity to the malt. This results in a smooth and layered Auchentoshan - delicate and layered.

Kommentar: Ein einfacher, leckerer Whisky ohne höhere Ansprüche. Im Aroma habe ich neben der Zitrusfrucht gleich schon Nüsse. Diese bleiben im Geschmack, zusammen mit zunächst einer honigartigen Süße und später einer kleinen 'modrigen' Note (die ich hier kaum adäquat abbilden kann). Im Abgang weiterhin Nuss und auch Fass. Solide aber wenig herausragend: **1/2.
