Product description
The Tomintoul Cigar Malt was created by Master Distiller Robert Fleming as the ideal companion for a cigar. For this, he chose exclusively Oloroso Sherry Butts.
The Tomintoul distillery is located in the famous valley of the River Livet. Tomintoul has special energy-saving heat exchangers. After the alcohol vapours have cooled down, the captured heat is returned to the mash.

    Wow, welch eine positive Überraschung!
    Normalerweise mag ich den Brennereicharakter von Tomintoul nicht.
    Und normalerweise mag ich es nicht, wenn man ausschließlich das Fass schmeckt.
    Aber hier ist es anders: Volles Brett Sherryfass, und schöne Fässer, die sie da ausgesucht haben. Einfach sehr lecker.

    Geschmack: Vollmundig, startet manchmal schön ölig

    Abgang: rauchige Noten, mittlere Länge

    Kommentar: Wie der Name es verrät, ein zu vielen Vitolas gut und sehr gut passender Malt. Niemals langweilig immer wieder anders. Mal ist der Rauch gleich zu Beginn präsent, mal ist er im Abgang versteckt. Nie aufdringlich.Peat Smoke Bonfire Smoke Tobacco Rye

    Aroma: Milde weiche, cremige Noten nach Milchschokolade, Vanille und getrockneten Früchten (viele rote Früchte). Nur den angehimmelten Holzrauch in der Nase hab ich beim bestem Willen nicht gefunden.

    Geschmack: Süßlich, würzig und schokoladig: Wellen von Vollmilch oder Zartbitter, mit süß-saurer Pfeffersoße und weichem zarten Holzrauch.

    Abgang: Mittel. Süße rote Früchte, Rosinen, Holzrauch und brickelnde Eiche runden das Ganze hab.

    Kommentar: Ob eine Zigarre wirklich zu diesem Malt passt kann ich nicht sagen, da ich Nichtraucher bin! Aber der Geschmack überzeugt mich jedenfalls. Nicht kann`s so teuer wie die anderen Cigar Malts von Dalmore oder Tamdhu. Preis/Leistung sehr solide.
