The Tomintoul Cigar Malt was created by Master Distiller Robert Fleming as the ideal companion for a cigar. For this, he chose exclusively Oloroso Sherry Butts.
The Tomintoul distillery is located in the famous valley of the River Livet. Tomintoul has special energy-saving heat exchangers. After the alcohol vapours have cooled down, the captured heat is returned to the mash.

Kommentar: Vermutlich hatte ich mir als Nichtraucher etwas ganz anderes vorgestellt.... probiert mit einer Zigarre "Inka" . Ich werde ihn noch einmal ohne Zigarre verkosten. Heute hat er mir nicht gefallen, da gibt es viele andere Whiskys die wesentlich besser und günstiger sind zur Zigarre... bin leider auf den Namen "reingefallen"

Aroma: rauchig, süss, Tabak, Ledersofa, Sattlerei
Geschmack: Trockenfrüchte mit Tabak, Zartbitterschokolade und leichtem Rauch

Geschmack: Süßlich, würzig und schokoladig: Wellen von Vollmilch oder Zartbitter, mit süß-saurer Pfeffersoße und weichem zarten Holzrauch.
Abgang: Mittel. Süße rote Früchte, Rosinen, Holzrauch und brickelnde Eiche runden das Ganze hab.
Kommentar: Ob eine Zigarre wirklich zu diesem Malt passt kann ich nicht sagen, da ich Nichtraucher bin! Aber der Geschmack überzeugt mich jedenfalls. Nicht kann`s so teuer wie die anderen Cigar Malts von Dalmore oder Tamdhu. Preis/Leistung sehr solide.
