This 12-year-old Tobermory Single Malt was matured in American white oak casks and was launched in early 2019, after a two-year hiatus from the distillery. It now complements the distillery's standard range and replaces the previous 10-year-old Tobermory.

Finish:
Comment: First thing that pops out on the nose is green apple and sour green apple flavoured candy. Some minty oak wood follows with herbs and faint nuts.
With water some furniture polish note appear.
Strong, rich sweet note on the palate followed by spices and nuts developing into spices and oak wood for the finish, mild bit of hotness there too. Interesting salty note in there too. Adding water give the same notes just with different dynamics - if that make sense. Faintest hint of smoke in the background.
Overall a very nice whisky, like nearly everything I've tried from Burn Stewart the quality is very good, a whisky for whisky fans.
