Douro Dreams is a limited special bottling from the Danish Stauning distillery. The rye whisky made from floor-malted rye and barley malt is matured in heavily burnt new American oak casks and Portuguese Ruby and Tawny Port Casks from the Douro Valley.

Insgesamt ein klassischer Stauning Rye. Er unterscheidet sich nicht sehr vom Standard-Rye, die Weinfässer haben relativ mäßigen Einfluss hinterlassen. Mit dem „dünnen“ Körper des Spirits dominieren wie gewohnt die Eichentannine und die klassische „Trockenheit“ von „rohem Getreide“ die man es vom Standard-Rye gewohnt ist. Er ist vor allem etwas abgerundeter und weicher mit ganz leicht rotbeerigen Nuancen.
