This cask strength Speyside, whose exact origin is kept under lock and key, was bottled by the independent bottler Living Souls from Glasgow. The 20-year-old Single Malt matured in Bourbon barrels and impresses with vanilla with coconut in abundance, tropical fruits, all kinds of sweets - and always apricot and peach. The whisky comes from a family-run Speyside distillery, which is otherwise known for its sherry cask matured Single Malts. Behind "The Living Souls" is a young team of three from Glasgow with great expertise and experience and excellent connections. Calum Leslie - former Head of Innovation at the Loch Lomond Group -, Jamie Williamson - founder of the UK wholesaler Kilninian Spirits and worked for many years at Douglas Laing - and John Torrance - 20 years' experience in the industry at Diageo and Tullibardine, among others - are part of the team.
The design of the bottles and labels also plays a very important role at Living Souls. It is an integral part of the story of each bottling, which is shaped and guided by Taste. Each creation is expressed through a distinctive colour palette that reflects the individual character of each bottling in an elongated bottle. Living Souls whiskies are presented in an elegant cognac bottle with soft-touch paper and a high-quality sealing strip labelled "Small Batch Spirit Masterpieces". The hand-drawn spiral oak emblem symbolises the soul of each individual cask and captures movement, maturation and the character that time lends to the distillate. The Living Souls bottlings are therefore not only suitable for savouring but also for collecting and giving as gifts.

The Distillery: Glenfarclas
The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and is one of the best-known and most successful family-run distilleries in Scotland. The owner family Grant is proud of its private status, which is reflected in the distillery's slogan ‘The Spirit of Independence’. Since 1865, the fifth generation of the Grant family has been shaping the history of the Glenfarclas distillery. This long family tradition guarantees consistent quality and the necessary foresight for a long-lasting product such as Whisky. Hardly any other distillery has so many high-quality and old Whiskies in its warehouses. Glenfarclas is located in beautiful Speyside and has been run by John Grant since 2002.
